The fiber offset is too large or the imaging core thickness is inconsistent

A large part of the problem arises from the fact that there are dirt in the V-groove and the V-groove needs to be cleaned. First clean the visible debris in the V-groove, then wipe gently with absolute alcohol. Remember that the V-groove should not be cleaned with a hard object, which can easily damage the V-groove.

Can’t find fiber or fiber end face is not neat

The surface of the optical system is contaminated, which means that the camera lens or the reflective lens is not clean. Clean the camera lens and the reflective lens of the fiber cover with absolute alcohol. After the alcohol has dried up, test the fusion and observe whether it is normal. If the problem is still not solved, it needs to be sent to the maintenance department for repair.

When the fiber is automatically calibrated, the fiber moves up and down.

First press the square reset button to reset the system, check whether the deviation of the fiber end position in the Y/Z direction is less than 0.5 mm. If it is less than 0.5 mm, continue to check whether the fiber and V-groove are clean, and then observe whether the platen can compact the fiber. If everything is normal or if these problems occur, you will need to send them to the repair shop for repair.

The fiber fusion part is abnormal and the electrode discharge is uneven.

The reason for this is mainly because the tip of the electrode is oxidized, and the oxide at the tip of the electrode causes uneven discharge of the electrode, causing problems in the quality of the fusion. Remove the electrode for cleaning. If it still does not discharge properly after cleaning, you need to replace the electrode. The electrode belongs to a consumable material. Generally, it needs to be cleaned after welding for about 500 times, and it is better to replace the new electrode with about 4,000 times. Abnormal discharge after damage to the electrode can easily cause the discharge to break through the precision parts of the fusion splicer, causing greater losses. Always make a discharge correction after replacing the electrode.
